Warrior Tank

by Meli Alness

Warrior Tank is knit top down in stranded colorwork with an easy-to-follow geometric motif. The grid of triangles remind me of armor, perhaps mithril from Tolkien’s Middle-earth (because it is both soft and light and displays fine workmanship). The armor imagery is fitting, for we all face battles: for our health, for our children, for safety, for freedom, for justice, and more. May we fight not only for ourselves, but also and especially for others.

We are Women. We are Warriors. Wear it well.
