After Equinox Cowl

After Equinox Cowl

by Meli Alness

Creating beautiful options for warmth and accessorizing—this is one way to beat the blues of a long, cold (Tibetan Plateau) winter. The After Equinox Cowl features two motifs: one is a meditation on the unfurling grace of autumn (falling leaves, dropping petals, nighttime sky), the other is a neutral playscape inspired by the handwoven ikat fabric of Indonesia and northern Thailand (ahh! bringing the warmth of the tropics!). Knit in the round using stranded colorwork, After Equinox is folded in half, then grafted together to create a unique, reversible, quadruple-layer-cowl that you’ll reach for again and again and again.
